New star-rated hotels in Fuzhou

With Fuzhou’s economy booming, the hospitality industry, in which hotels take prominence, is developing at an accelerating pace. Until now, there have only been five hotels in Fujian, some of them five-star, some even above. In the near future, the hospitality industry, especially hotels, are sure to add huge revenue to Fuzhou’s economy.

In the Taijiang district, several projects are being evaluated, including the Wanda City Complexes and the Shimao International Center. The Wanda City Complexes, covering an area of 391,500 square meters is scheduled to be put into service in December this year. This complex involves office buildings, shopping malls, entertainment centers and star-rated hotels. The Shimao International Center covers 24 mu and is ranked as an over five-star-rated hotel.

In the Cangshan and Jinan districts, the Haixi International Logistics Commercial Center, SM Commercial Square and New Oriental Plaza are the key projects to become new landmarks in Fuzhou. At the same time, new plans are being developed to give Fuzhou another economic engine to boost its economy.
