E-commerce to push forward rural vitalization

A forum themed on rural e-commerce development, was held in Xiamen, Fujian province on Feb 28.

Representatives from more than 20 cities in Fujian, Hubei, Zhejiang and Taiwan gathered in the city to explore the topic centered on "how can China's rural area achieve better development through e-commerce".

"We hope that e-commerce can broaden the market for farm produce and local specialties," said Li Linbin from Quanzhou, who is the chairman of the e-commerce Kouclo Group.

On the sidelines of the event, several sub-forums themed on smart city and poverty alleviation were also held.
