The Fu'an Cycling Race wrapped up in Fu'an, a county-level city in Southeast China's Fujian province on Dec 10.

This was the first time the race has been held as part of the Chinese Cycling League tournament this year.

An international peloton comprising over 1,000 riders from countries such as the United States, Britain, Iran and Kazakhstan took part in the event, competing for a total prize fund of 140,000 yuan ($21,144.8).

Located at the eastern part of Fujian, Fu'an is renowned for its Tan Yang Kunfu tea, which won the Gold medal in Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915.

The event, jointly sponsored by the Fujian bureau of sports, the Fu'an People's Government and the Ningde bureau of tourism, is set to give an impetus to Fu'an's sports development and further improve the city’s profile around the world.
