Fujian delegation to 19th CPC National Congress discuss report

The Communist Party of China (CPC) opened the 19th CPC National Congress at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Oct 18.

Members of the delegation of Southeast China's Fujian province to the congress discussed a report delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at its opening session.

Xi's statement that China has ushered in a new era in building socialism with Chinese characteristics inspired attendees, such as Zheng Xincong and Lin Bojin.

Fujian local government Party leaders, they said that over the past five years China has made historical achievements in building China into a modernized socialist country under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with President Xi Jinping as the core, and pledged that they will continue to devote themselves to putting forward Fujian's social and economic development under the guidance of Xi’s report.

The congress, attended by 2,338 Party delegates and specially invited delegates, is the country's most important political meeting and heralds further developments in the country over the next five years.
