Kung fu movie to shoot in Pingtan

The Chinese kung fu movie Juhua Miling, or Chrysanthemum Secret Order, is expected to be shot in Pingtan, Fujian province.

Featuring a hefty dose of comedy, the movie tells the story of Lin Feng, the fiancé of a wealthy businessman's daughter who gets entangled with a group of gangsters and a plot to unleash a Trojan horse computer virus called Juhua, or Chrysanthemum.

Producers including Fujian Shangwu Culture Media Co have invested 2 million yuan ($290 million) in the movie, which will be shot at Redstone Seaside Heights, a well-known tourist resort in Pingtan.

The drama is scheduled to premiere on major online video platforms including Tencent, LeTV and iQiyi during the summer, according to the movie's director, Chi Jianhua.
