Fashion industry portal Diction struck a strong figure at the 2017 Shishi Fashion Week, signing a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with the event, and presenting three enchanting runway shows.

5W

5W was launched in 2013 by Shang Wenyu, a fashion designer with more than a decade’s working experience. By naming the brand 5W, Shang promotes an ideal lifestyle in which people would be able to choose to do what they want to do, why, where and when they want to do it, and with whom.

This explains 5W’s styling concept of finding a middle ground for seemingly conflicting elements. Chic, gender-neutral and clean lines are the key words when one tries to understand the brand’s style.

Zhong Pu Fan

Inspired by iridescent urban life, the Zhong Pu Fan show reflected various characteristics of urban society. Zhong Pu Fan’s brand clothes are tailor-made with fine details at a 1,000-square-meter workshop, where traditional techniques and modern dressing concepts are combined to cater to personal demands.

Yuan Shaohua, the brand’s designer, was admitted to Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology in 2005. From 2008, he worked as dress designer, menswear designer and personal stylist. In 2014, Yuan became the chief designer of Shenzhen-based Pu Fan custom clothing company.

ASOKA

ASOKA’s menswear blends eastern style, outstanding cutting and European chic. It brings life to otherwise boring men’s fashions with its unique styling.

Designer Zhuang Jiabing created a practical and refreshing luxury look by blending classical elements with trendy designs. Zhuang embellishes classic black, white and gray with prints and geometric figures to complete elegant and fashionable men’s looks.

All three designers joined the Diction Mall event, organized by Diction to link designers with fashion-savvy individuals during the fashion week. Yuan Shaohua said that the event was a good advertisement for fashion brands and led to increased orders.
