The Jinjiang Youth Orchestra will be officially launched during 2016 New Year Concert in Zuchang Hall of Jinjiang Cultural Center, Fujian province, on Jan 23.

The establishment of Jinjiang Youth Orchestra has received much attention from Jinjiang locals. The orchestra members are expected to bring two choruses – "the Dance of Youth" and "Singing and Smiling" in the concert. The members, most of them are students, not only carried out a full day's rehearsal for their performance last weekend but also practiced hard besides study at home.

Apart from choruses, the youth orchestra will have a variety of performances, for example, a clarinet quintet "Pizzicato Polka" by four members and a teacher.

The Jinjiang Youth Orchestra has been practicing during every Saturday afternoon since last October, and all members made great progress. An orchestra member's parent said that her son is now more confident than before. She also mentioned that activities in the orchestra didn't interfere with his study, in fact, it helped him score better. She hopes her son can participate and enjoy more in the youth orchestra.
