Officials from Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hong Kong and Macao gathered in Fuzhou, Fujian province to boost cooperation on curbing air pollution in the Pan-Pearl River Delta (PRD).

The measures include launch of systems for air quality warning information sharing, as well as united management.

As air pollution has spread all over China, provinces are required to work together to fight against this serious environment problem.

In addition, Fujian and Guangdong pledged to work together on water environment improvement.

The Dingjiang River in Fujian's Longyan converges with Guangdong's Hanjiang River. The two provinces will both invest to improve the water quality.
