More than 100 electric bicycles were destroyed by a fire in a residential area in Taijiang district, Fuzhou in Fujian province on Nov 30.
The fire started at about 11 pm on an open floor of a residential building used as a garage for e-bicycles. The fire destroyed more than 100 e-bicycles before being put out by firefighters three hours later. Fortunately, no one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Residents guessed the fire may be caused by a short circuit.

Residents believed that property management authorities should be responsible for the accident, because they privately rebuilt the open floor into a garage and installed electric wiring to charge e-bikes. Moreover, they didn't repair the broken fire hydrants in time, delaying the fire extinguishing.
