An undergraduate law student from Xiamen University has beaten a student from Peking University to be crowned champion in the popular educational television program, ‘Who's Still Standing’. Qiu Xiyan stole the show on Feb 24 as the program was broadcast nationwide on Jiangsu TV.

The competition was so fierce that the program group ran out of questions during the game.

Qiu has had a wide range of interests and hobbies since a child. He is fond of reading and watching science TV programs and has always being regarded as a “super scholar” in the eyes of others.

"I’m just a normal person who is also worrying about failing a class or not being able to find a job after graduation,” Qiu said in an interview after coming top in the educational TV program.

It is not the first time for Qiu to take part in such program. In 2013, he won the third place in an educational TV program named The Genius Knows.
