Taiwan authorities have confirmed that man from the city of Quanzhou was among those who died on the Taiwan TransAsia Airways plane that crashed on Wednesday Feb 4, according to a Strait News report.

Wang Qinghuo, 27, was taking a group tour on the ATR-72 which dropped shortly after taking off from the Taipei airport, at around 10:45 am, killing 31, with six of them from the mainland.

Wang was scheduled to get married this coming Sunday, so his loss has caused immense pain to his family and friends, more so, according to a Ms Guo of the Xiamen Airlines International Tourism Agency, who said, “Qinghuo is a terrific guy to work with. We were so worried about him when we heard about the crash yesterday.”

One client of the agency recalled how Wang was an easy-going, trustworthy tour guide, and even though he didn’t know Wang well, he said he feels sorry for the loss.
