A delegation from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), headed by its deputy director Wu Qinghai, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province on Jan 21 to learn about its development.

Officials from AQSIQ and Pingtan discussed matters concerning the construction of an animal-plant quarantine center and how to further facilitate customs procedures in Pingtan.

AQSIQ has always paid attention to Pingtan’s development, and has rolled out a number of measures endorsing it, said Wu Qinghai.

Pingtan will play a bigger role in cross-Straits communications and cooperation in order to attract more investors, enterprises and professionals from Taiwan, increase trade activities and push for a common prosperity, he added.

Present were Zhi Yilong, director of the Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and PCPZ officials, including Li Dejin, Lin Jianglin and Ding Jizhu.
