The official government websites of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone have won awards in a recent national competition for their excellent performance in 2014.

Both the Chinese and English versions of the Pingtan websites were honored “outstanding government websites” by the competition held by chinahightech.com.

The competition assessed about 300,000 official websites and new media platforms (Weibo and WeChat) affiliated with Party committees, governments, People’s Congress, People's Political Consultative Conference, courts, procuratorates at all levels across the country, and selected the best of them based on criteria of transparency, intelligent use, service and practicability.

Pingtan’s bilingual government websites have won the awards three years in a row.
