Internet users in Minhou county in Fuzhou are the most vulnerable to malware attacks, according to a recent report by Qihoo 360 Technology, one of the largest Internet security companies in China.

The report indicates that 47.8 percent of Minhou’s netizens are exposed to security risks, ranking them seventh in China. It is the only county from Fujian to crack the list of top 100 counties with cyber security risks.

It means that Internet users in Minhou are attacked by malicious programs at least once every quarter, a computer expert from Qihoo explained.

Based on the statistics, netizens in Minhou have received higher rates of cyber attacks, which is somehow related to bad Internet surfing habits, he added.

Rogue programs are mainly spread in four ways – messaging software, scampish software, cheating programs and porn websites, according to the report.
