The Pingtan Court held an open day for the public on Dec 14 – the first State Constitution Day.

The court invited some 50 delegates from the local legislature and a political advisory body, the public and the press in, to get a closer look at its routine procedures.

Led by a judge, the guests toured a litigation service center and a youth legal education base. They also heard a trial of a case and gave advice on the court’s work.

“This kind of activity will boost the public’s knowledge of the Constitution and raise their awareness of doing things according to the law,” said Zheng Ping, a teachers’ representative.
