Updated: 2014-12-18

Xia Wenjin, a Chinese girl growing up in the US is trying to find her natural parents after 21-years' separation.

Xia was lost in Jimei district, Xiamen, Fujian province in September, 1993, and was sent to Xiamen Children’s Welfare House on March 17, 1995, from a Xiamen thread factory named Kaiyuanbaoying. She was adopted by an American couple in April, 1996.

"I almost forget everything that happened before the adoption, because I was too young at only two years old”, said Xia. “I don’t know who are my biological parents, but I hope that I can see them one day.”

Xia has come back to China for her further studies, and started looking for her natural parents. She said that she would be very grateful if she could find her parents with the public’s help.
