Xiamen Fantawild Dreamland, a large amusement park in Tong’an district, Xiamen, will open a new branch of the park by the end of 2015.

The new theme park will add 400,000 square meters to the “Chinese Disneyland” with an investment of 2.5 billion yuan ($ 407 million), said the park’s management.

The new park will be composed of eight districts, including folk lore, classic love legend, Chinese history, folk opera, mysterious culture and folk handicrafts. It will offer 16 major theme programs that integrate multiple culture, modern technology and artistic creation.

The amusement park, which just won the ranking of a 4A National Tourist Attraction in November, has made a significant contribution to local tourism, luring more than 1 million tourists since its inauguration in April 2013.

It is impressive that the park has adopted a lot of high-technologies to create a genuine experience for tourists through 27 major programs.

Sky Sailor, or an “eight – minute global travel”, takes the tourists all over the world, ranging from “Qomolangma”, and Brooklyn Bridge to “Egypt’s pyramids”. Participants in Escape From Dinosaur Island are dragged back to the Jurassic Period and encounter hunters, dinosaurs and a waterfall 26-meters high. The Wizard Academy issues graduation certificates to brave adventurers, and World Expo brings aliens from outer space.
