The health authority in Fujian province confirmed a new human infection of the deadly H7N9 avian influenza virus on Wednesday Dec 3.

A 27-year-old man, surnamed Ye from Fuqing county in Fuzhou city, was diagnosed with the virus on that day. He is in a serious conditions, and is receiving treatment in isolation in Fuzhou, the Southeast Express reported.
