A 43-year-old man was detained for raising 4 false alarms in Xiamen, according to reports.
At 1:00 pm on 19th November, the Jiangtou Police Station received a call saying that there were bombs in the SM Shopping Mall. The police immediately rushed to the scene and the shopping mall was then evacuated, but no explosives were found.
At about 4:20 pm that day, a man, surnamed Lin, was detained in Huli district for raising false alarms.
According to reports, the man, who is a local resident, made false bomb threats at Wanda Plaza on November 17th and at Xiamen Gaoqi Airport on 18th November. He also reported false explosions to the police in Caitang on the afternoon of 18th November.
The case is currently under investigation.
