Liu Yongfu, secretary of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, led a group to inspect Pingnan county, Ningde city, Fujian province on Nov 2nd.

The inspection group firstly stopped in Lingxia township to know its progress of economic and agricultural measures. The micro-credit aims to help villagers start their own businesses, and an alpine vegetable base is the pilot project of Pingnan's modern agriculture. They then moved to Tangkou township to check the process of their relocation project.

Li Hong, secretary of Ningde's Municipal Party Committee, and Cheng Shuping, secretary of Pingnan County Party Committee, gave reports of Ningde and Pingnan's poverty alleviation work and illustrated the unsolved problems. Liu praised the accomplishments of Ningde and Pingnan, and emphasized that more efforts should be made in traffic to facilitate Pingnan's tourism.
