Xiamen armed police hold first anti-terror drill at sea

On October 29, the Xiamen Detachment of China’s Police Force held an anti-terror drill at the sea area near the Dabaicheng. With an operation codename of “Shark Hunt”, the anti-terror drill was held to strengthen the anti terror skills of Xiamen's armed police officers.

At the beginning of the drill, the SWAT team of the Xiamen Detachment of China’s Police Force received an “order” that a gang of unidentified terrorists were attacking people in the urban area of the island. The SWAT team responded quickly and blocked all of the land and air channels of Xiamen Island. During the drill, 4 terrorists were shot dead by the SWAT team, but 2 armed terrorists escaped to the Baicheng sea area and hijacked a midsized cruise ship with the intentions of escaping to open seas.

The members of the Xiamen armed police rushed to the Baicheng sea area and sent a small reconnaissance UAV to detect the location of the cruise ship hijacked by the terrorists.

According to the report sent back by the UAV, there were 2 terrorists with guns kidnapping a dozen tourists on the cruise ship, and they were hiding in the third cabin of the ship.

The members of the SWAT team divided into two groups and used “Octopus” tactical suckers to get on the ship at its front and back.
