The four boys, 6-years-old, look exactly alike and are arranged in different classes of the first grade at Fengdanbailu Primary School in Jin’an district.

“They look so alike. I can’t even distinguish any of them,” said Ms Chen, a teacher at the school.

Distributing the quadruplets, Chen Baichang, Chen Baida, Chen Baixiang and Chen Baiyu, was the idea of their parents, which is easier for management on the teachers’ part. It is also good for their growth and independence, according to Mr Zhang, president of the school.

The boys showed a strong brotherhood, hanging out all the time during class breaks.

The rare scene no doubt has appealed to their classmates, who found it intriguingly difficult to tell them apart.

“It is definitely confusing for most people at first sight. It takes time to notice the nuances,” said Mrs. Lin mother of the quadruplets. She added that the eldest has a chubbier face, whereas the youngest looks a little slimmer, and the second youngest is taller than the others.
