Director David Hsieh of ABC Dental Group was born in Kaohsiung. As a child, he developed an interest in writing, drawing, and sculpture. When he chose his field of study for college, he selected dental medicine because he believed that "dentistry is a combination of surgery and fine arts." In 1992, when he graduated from New York University College of Dentistry, he returned to Taiwan, and began his clinical work in dentistry. In 1997, he established ABC Dental Group, which aims to provide the best choice in dental services (Always Best Choice). This is the origin for the name ABC Dental Group.

To improve the medical service standard of ABC Dental Group, the group constructed a 13-story, 4,628-square-meter operation headquarters. ABC Dental Group has the best root canal therapy and target-controlled infusion (TCI) treatment technique. Meanwhile, it introduced a super advanced remote video conference, educational and training system to synchronize operations and teaching system so that dentists can easily communicate from anywhere in the world. However, this was not enough. Later, ABC Dental Group cooperated with dentists in the group and established some branch hospitals. It was the beginning of the chain operation. ABC Dental Group provides professional technical support and medical education and training to the branch hospitals. Currently, ABC Dental Group has 12 directly operated clinics, and 10 strategic alliance clinics. Moreover, ABC Dental Group's alliance clinics have been established in mainland China, Australia, and Japan. This helped establish a leading position for Taiwan dentistry throughout the world.
Besides being an excellent operator of dentist alliances, David Hsieh is also a senior dentist experienced in dental implants. With 20 years of experience in dental implants, he is certified by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and has been recognized as a specialist in implantology. He is also a clinical associate professor at Kaohsiung Medical University and a visiting professor at Guangxi Medical University. He frequently gives lectures throughout the world. David Hsieh is an expert in immediate implant placement after tooth extraction, sinus lift, full mouth implant placement with immediate loading, and complex bone augmentation. To allow patients to enjoy a more comfortable environment during dental implants, David Hsieh pioneered sleep sedation in Taiwan. At the same time, David Hsieh has expertise in operation, management, and dental implant operation, and is loved and respected by patients and dentists throughout the globe.
“Sleep sedation for dental implants has been seldom practised in mainland China, but in Taiwan, ABC Dental Group already has more than 1,000 successful cases.” The operation with such technology by ABC Dental Group is completed by a team of anaesthetists and dentists. "In the process, the patients are put in a sleepwalking state." They cannot feel any pain, but they can follow the instructions by dentists to adjust the size of their open mouth. After the operation, they still don’t feel the pain, and have no memory of what happened during the operation. They feel entirely comfortable.
“Currently, as a medical service that has been widely accepted by the foreigners in Thailand, the prices of dental treatment are as follows: dental cleaning, 40 US dollars; root canal therapy, 150-300 US dollars; dental implant operation, about 2,400 US dollars. The prices are on a par with the charges of the high-end stomatological hospitals in mainland China. More important, seeking treatment at the high-end stomatological hospitals in mainland China means the patients don't have to fly to Thailand to receive post-operation dental care.
Today, Taiwan's best and largest dental medical institution ABC Dental Group crossed the Taiwan Strait, and established the first directly operated dental clinic in Xiamen-Xiamen Dinghao Stomatologic Clinic. It is located at No 196 Lianyue Road, Siming District, and it opened for business in January 2014. The tidy and graceful diagnosis and treatment hall, the simple and warm independent diagnosis room, and the private and elegant VIP diagnosis area create a relaxing atmosphere for the patients, and greatly alleviate patients' fear of dental treatment. With its treatment pattern of "one dentist+one assistant+one diagnosis room" and the operation of four hands, the patients don't have to rise repeatedly to spit and rinse. This will let foreign patients experience high-quality private dental service that is similar to what they enjoy in European countries and the United States.
