AmCham South China opens service center in Xiamen

The world's largest American Chamber of Commerce--AmCham South China--established a service center in Xiamen, a coastal city in Fujian province, on May 28.

More than 20 representatives, including Harley Seyedin, president of AmCham South China, Ren Jinming, commercial counselor of the Consulate General of the US in Guangzhou, and Wang Qiongwen, head of the Xiamen Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs, attended the opening ceremony.

Wang said AmCham South China is a strategic partner of the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) and the new service center will help boost mutual cooperation.

Seyedin pointed out that Xiamen has witnessed rapid development in areas such as transportation, logistics and education over the years. The establishment of the AmCham South China Xiamen Service Center is of great significance for China and the US for mutually beneficial cooperation.

AmCham South China has taken part in CIFIT held in Xiamen for 11 years. And in September this year, it will lead a delegation of more than 400 enterprises, among which over 200 are local, to attend the 18th CIFIT.
