Though often busy saving lives and fighting disasters, Dehong firefighters still found time to prepare for a painting and photo contest.

They sent 46 entries reflecting their work in fire control and rescue operations. Fourteen entries won prizes, including three second-place awards and two third-place prizes.

The contest was hosted by the Dehong autonomous prefecture’s politics and law committee to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
