Thousands of visitors came to enjoy the taste and smell of the rice. “I feel so lucky to take part in the festival and taste the rice of this year, which is really yummy,” said Tan Jianghua, a tourist from Kunming city, capital of Yunnan province.

Soft, elastic and tasty, Zhefang Gong Rice is fortified with calcium and rich in proteins, iron and seleniu. The rice moistens and beautifies skin and improves one’s appetite.

“Gong” literally means “present.” Gong Rice refers to rice presented to the emperors as a tribute in ancient China. Zhefang Gong Rice was favored by the imperial family during the Ming dynasty and thus was named Gong Rice at that time.
