Ferrero Group, the third-largest chocolate and confectionery manufacturer in the world, released its sixth Corporate Social Responsibility Report in China recently, elaborating on the sustainable corporate development concept throughout Ferrero's entire value chain over 2013-2014.

The report called "The People and The Planet", was about the group's activities and initiatives in sustainable agricultural practices and environmental protection.

Among the events it conducted, Ferrero held Kinder+Sport, a global social responsibility project, to encourage young children to participate in physical activity.

Since Ferrero introduced the "Kinder+Sport" project in China in 2009, the company has held 15 events including long-distance running, a family marathon, and tennis and football training camps in many Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, attracting more than 3,000 children from more than 100 schools. It has also contacted more than 850,000 kids to advocate the "joy of moving" helping them to switch to an active healthy lifestyle.
