Tricky business

Taiwan magician Lu Chen will kick off his 2012 national tour in Beijing with three nights of shows at Poly Theater.

The magician, who became popular on the mainland after his performance for the 2009 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, invigorated the allure of magic shows across China. He was also invited to perform for the 2010 and 2012 CCTV Spring Festival galas.

His Dazzle will bring audiences closer to magic, Lu says. A third of the show will be new, and he will invite audience members to observe his magic onstage.
