Uffizi's treasure trove
Eighty-two masterpieces from the Uffizi Gallery of Florence, Italy, are on show in Beijing.
The exhibits, arranged in chronological order from the late 15th to the second half of the 20th centuries, display landscapes, still-life works and portraits.

Among the well-known works on display are Adoration of the Magi by Botticelli and Venus and Cupid with a Partridge by Titian.

450 years of music
The Sachsische Staatskapelle Dresden symphony orchestra is one of the world's oldest, having played continuously for more than 450 years.
The Shanghai concert will feature conductor Nikolaj Znaider and violinist Huang Mengla.

Going solo
Beijing artist Wang Aiting is staging her solo show with more than 40 of her latest landscapes, still-life works and portraits.
Wang was trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the early 1990s and has been celebrated for her active participation in charities.

Life as a woman
Queen of Coquetry, an original play about modern women will be presented by Shanghai's famous theater director He Nian.
It features four women, from Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Taipei, and their love lives.

Song-and-dance gala
The original dance drama A Palmful of Wild Jujubes will be presented by a dance troupe from Shanxi province.
The show incorporates local folk art and culture in its portrayal of the story of the exploits of a wealthy businessman's family in the early 20th century. Audiences can enjoy the unique Shanxi architectural style, which is a setting for the show.

Of men and women
The exhibition The Couple Show probes the many levels of the relationships between men and women through artworks by artists whose significant others are also artists. These couples sometimes cooperate on their creations, while they work independently at other times.
The pieces on display explore love, domesticity, sex, parenting, cohabitation and shared lives.

Zooming in
Huang Kui presents a new series he created through 2009 and 2010 in the exhibition My Projection is Focusing. On display are paintings, photographs, light boxes, installations and videos. Huang was born in Sichuan province in 1977 and now works in Shanghai.
