**Memory recalled

Among the ruins of the building, Li Yang, 17, a senior middle school student at Beichuan Middle School, had kept the drip bottle raised high for more than one hour.

At the end of the tube was his classmate Liao Bo, who had been trapped in the collapsed building. The scene aroused everyone's sympathy for his friend.

An evocative photographic show, focusing on earthquake relief, kicks off this week (pictured right).

Divided into six parts, it shows touching moments during the disaster rescue, heroic scenes of PLA soldiers and medical staff, the indestructible spirit of local people and the reconstruction afterwards.

Another exhibition (pictured below), entitled The Path to Victory - Art of War and Antiques of Ancient Chinese Military, is themed on the military masterpiece Sunzi: Art of War which was composed during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC).
