俄猛男摔倒坚持完赛
当地时间2014年2月11日，俄罗斯索契，越野滑雪男子自由式个人竞速赛半决赛，东道主选手贾法罗夫与身旁的选手发生了碰撞，导致失去平衡直接摔了出去。摔坏了左脚雪板已经没办法固定，经过一个下坡点时他又摔倒在地上，但他还是要爬起来继续战斗！更换了一只新的雪板后，他终于还是滑到了终点。最后贾法罗夫的成绩是6分25秒95，而第一名的成绩是3分36秒33。他身上的奥林匹克精神比金牌更为可贵。
美舰艇抵达西海军基地
当地时间2014年2月11日，西班牙罗塔海军基地，美国海军宙斯盾驱逐舰“唐纳德·库克”号抵达，该舰将是美国驻扎在欧洲的4艘弹道导弹防御舰艇中的第一艘。据悉，这是奥巴马政府“分阶段适应方案”弹道导弹防御计划的一部分工作，该计划将在西班牙部署宙斯盾驱逐舰，在罗马尼亚（2015年投入使用）和波兰（2018年投入使用）建设两个宙斯盾岸基设施。
