Ge Shuwen to drive Dongfeng Renault

On the move

Dongfeng Renault, a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Corp and Renault SA, named Ge Shuwen (pictured) as president, effective April 1. Ge has over 30 years' experience in the automobile industry, and over 20 years' experience in senior management positions for sales and production. Prior, he served Audi China as vice-president for sales, Audi Malaysia as general manager, and many others. Francois Provost, former chairman of Asia-Pacific and senior vice-president of China operations, was appointed group senior vice-president and chairman of the China unit.

China Investment Corp names Peng as head

Peng Chun, former chairman of Bank of Communications, will be the new chairman and Party secretary of State-owned China Investment Corp, the country's sovereign wealth fund. The position has been vacant since February 2017. For some of the time since then, vice-chairman and general manager Tu Guangshao oversaw the company's operations, but he retired earlier. Prior, Peng was deputy general manager at CIC from 2010 to 2013.

Ford hires Yang Song as president of sales

Ford Motor (China) Ltd named Yang Song as president of sales, effective April 8. In Yang's new position, he will oversee the company's marketing, sales, and services with a focus on booming car sales and optimizing consumer experience. Yang has over 20 years' marketing and sales experience. Prior, he served Borgward Group AG and Procter& Gamble Co. Chen Anning, president and CEO of Ford Motor (China), said Yang will be an invaluable asset to the company, given his management experience and business connections in both Chinese and US markets. Chen also said he has confidence in Yang's market insights, which will help the latter to grow the company's sales to a new high. Yang took over from Liu Yuehai, who held the role on an interim basis.

Advanced materials firm reshuffles its top brass

China Advanced Construction Materials Group Inc has announced management changes. Sean Liu was appointed CEO and chairman, taking over from Han Xianfu who retired on March 28. Prior, Liu was CEO of Wave Sync Corp. He Weili resigned as interim chief financial officer, and Jiang Lili was appointed the new CFO. Prior, Jiang was the manager of overseas medical business department of Aolan Health Management Co Ltd.

Automation specialist picks 2 key executives

Excellent Uniquc Automation Devices Co Ltd, a specialist in the manufacture of automation control cabinets, control discs and pneumatic components, appointed Tao Hong as vice-chairman, and promoted Xiao Guangzhong from deputy general manager to general manager. Prior, Tao served Schneider Electric and ABB China, while Xiao worked with Cummins (China) Investment Co Ltd.
