Strategic alliances formed to speed up customs in Shenzhen

By Chen Hong | China Daily | Updated: 2019-11-14 07:57

Shenzhen Customs has made inventive efforts to improve the international competitiveness of the port city in South China's Guangdong province, which has been the country's export champion for 26 years in a row.

Starting from Oct 22, Yantian Port in East Shenzhen, a world-leading port by container throughput, officially allied with neighboring Huizhou Port to provide customs services to exporters and importers, according to Shenzhen Customs.

Companies need to complete clearance procedures in either of the ports and then their goods will be transported between the two by barge before export or after import.
