Uchida replaces Ghosn as CEO of Nissan Motor

Makoto Uchida, senior vice-president of Nissan Motor Co Ltd and chairman of management committee for Nissan Motor China, was appointed president and CEO of Nissan Motor. The decision was made amid the company's financial and cultural turnaround after former chairman Carlos Ghosn stepped down on charges of financial misconduct, which he denied. Uchida joined Nissan Motor in 2003.
