Zhang and Stosur qualify for Finals

The WTA announced on Monday that Zhang Shuai and Samantha Stosur have qualified for the doubles event at the WTA Finals Shenzhen, set to take place from Oct 27 through Nov 3 for a record $14 million in prize money.

The Chinese-Australian pairing will make their team debut at the Finals following a standout season highlighted by their first Grand Slam doubles title at the Australian Open.

"It's a great privilege for me to enter the Finals for the first time," said Zhang. "It will also be a special experience because it's in China. I'm looking forward to competing in Shenzhen and meeting all the passionate fans there."
