International expo center continues push as industry leader
Shanghai New International Expo Centre, or SNIEC, one of the first Sino-German joint-venture expo centers in China, will use its expertise to support the country's economic and industrial upgrade, continuing the good work it has carried out for the past 18 years.
The venue has 17 column-free, ground-level exhibition halls, covering 200,000 square meters of indoor space and 100,000-sq-m of outdoor space. It has become one of the busiest expo centers in the world with a more than 60 percent annual occupancy rate and more than 10 million annual visits since 2002, according to Michael Kruppe, general manager of SNIEC.
Every year, more than 100 expos take place in SNIEC including bauma China, Furniture China and ChinaJoy. For many exhibitors, SNIEC is an ideal platform to demonstrate their cutting-edge products and services and catch drifts of the latest trends in the market.
