Gen.G launching NBA 2K team in Shanghai next season

The NBA 2K League announced on Thursday that global e-sports organization Gen.G will launch a team from Shanghai as its 23rd member in the 2020 season.
The Shanghai franchise will be the centerpiece of a long-term strategic relationship between the NBA 2K League and Gen.G, mobilizing the latter's multicultural brand and multi-title e-sports presence to expand the global footprint of the first official e-sports league operated by a US professional sports league.
Gen.G's team, which will train in Los Angeles during the 2020 season, will be the first NBA 2K League franchise outside of North America.
