Mother leaves baby at ex-husband's door

A woman surnamed Yu left her 3-month-old son at the door of her ex-husband's Nanjing apartment on Aug 26 without telling him. The ex-husband, surnamed Liang, was alerted to the baby's presence by a visiting friend. The couple, who divorced in July, also have a 3-year-old son. After the divorce, Liang took care of the older boy while his wife kept the baby. Yu told Liang recently that she planned to travel abroad, and he agreed to look after the baby while she was away. But Yu decided to leave ahead of time and Liang, who was planning a business trip at the same time, said it would be difficult for his mother to take care of the two children by herself. After quarreling, Yu left the infant and baby-care products at Liang's door.
