Indian gunfire kills 3 Pakistani troops

China Daily | Updated: 2019-08-16 07:52

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistani army said on Thursday that three soldiers were killed as Indian forces opened fire along the Line of Control in the disputed Kashmir region.

An army statement said that the Indian army has increased firing along the line in "efforts to divert attention from the precarious situation" in Indian-controlled Kashmir.

Pakistan's army responded with gunfire and says it has killed five Indian soldiers and injured many others. India denies any of its soldiers were killed.
