International duty beckons Asian stars

China's Li, Pan among leading contenders for Presidents Cup

With seven weeks remaining until the top eight players on each team officially qualify for the Presidents Cup, four Asian stars - Li Haotong of Chinese mainland, CT Pan of Chinese Taipei, Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond and Japan's Hideki Matsuyama - are in the running to automatically qualify for the International Team that will square off against Team USA.

The Presidents Cup is returning to Australia's Royal Melbourne Golf Club for the third time from Dec 9-15, when the International Team, led by captain Ernie Els, takes on the US squad captained by Tiger Woods.
