Covestro hires Lei for top job in country

Global polymers and plastics manufacturer Covestro AG named Lei Huanli (pictured) as president of its Chinese operations effective July 1. Lei joined Covestro, which was formerly the material science department under Bayer, in 1999. She held several management roles in various departments, including sales, technology, and research and development. Markus Steilemann, CEO of Covestro, said Lei's appointment is expected to align the company's strategies with the Chinese market situation.
