Brazilian legend becomes World Cup's all-time leading scorer
VALENCIENNES, France - Marta secured her place among the legends of soccer on Tuesday after the Brazilian become the all-time leading World Cup scorer - male or female - in a 1-0 win over Italy.
"This record doesn't belong to me, it belongs to all of us," the 33-year-old said after crashing home a penalty with 16 minutes left to score her 17th World Cup goal.
