Group to boost China-Africa relations

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, the country's top political advisory body, launched a group on Wednesday to promote friendly relations between China and African countries.

Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, met with the group members at the launch.

Wang said, "It is the first group of the CPPCC that targets promoting friendly relations between China and foreign countries, which is of pioneering significance in the history of the CPPCC's foreign relations."
