Wary of the Wang threat

RENNES, France - China's Group B rival Germany has identified Wang Shuang as the key player in their Women's World Cup opener on Saturday in Rennes.

Germany assistant coach Britta Carlson said the two-time champion has done extensive homework on Team China's Paris Saint-Germain playmaker.

"We watched the warm-up friendly between China and France. We know the strength of the Chinese team. They're very offensive, playing directly in the box and trying to score early," said Carlson.
