Self-driving vehicle challenge begins

More than 80 self-driving vehicle teams from home and abroad are participating in the World Intelligence Driving Challenge, which started on Wednesday and runs until Saturday. Focusing on the driving challenges of unmanned vehicles, the competition is divided into three categories - self-driving, information security and virtual scenes - said Li Wei, vice-general manager of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co, one of the organizers of the event. Self-driving vehicles will be evaluated under a variety of simulated road conditions.
