By Cao Desheng | China Daily | Updated: 2019-05-13 06:58

China and Japan should further enhance mutual trust to improve bilateral ties amid good momentum in their relations, researchers and experts from both countries said.

They also said the two neighbors should vigorously develop all-around cooperation to promote peace, stability and economic growth in the region and beyond against the backdrop of profound changes taking place on the international stage.

Speaking in Beijing on Sunday at a seminar organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a leading think tank, former state councilor Dai Bingguo said political mutual trust holds the key to the China-Japan relationship.
