BOC's Chen Siqing succeeds Yi at ICBC helm

Chen Siqing (pictured), 59, chairman and Party chief at Bank of China, was appointed chairman of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in late April. The top ICBC post was vacant for three months after former chairman Yi Huiman moved on to be the new chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Chen worked at BOC for 29 years, including as deputy president of its Fujian branch, president of Guangdong branch, and general manager of BOC's risk management department. He was appointed president of BOC in 2014 and became its chairman and Party chief in 2017.
