Hitting the road with a furry four-legged friend in tow

By Ren Xiaojin | China Daily | Updated: 2019-05-03 07:55

Travel photos of pets are always popular on social media, whether it's a cat snuggling in the basket of a bicycle, a golden retriever sleeping with its owner in a tent under the stars, or a husky sticking its head out of a car window.

Most people in China don't have the luxury of being able to take their pets on holiday because animals are generally not allowed on public transportation or in hotels. But few pet owners would turn down the chance to travel with their best friend if they could.

Some business operators have noticed the gap in the market, including pet friendly transportation and hotels, which will allow pets to travel with their owners.
