License revoked after illegal HPV doses

Bo'ao Yinfeng Kangyang International Hospital has been stripped of its business license for illegally providing nine-valent HPV vaccines, Hainan health authorities said in a notice on Sunday. It had given the vaccinations to 37 patients, each of whom was charged 9,000 yuan ($1,350) for the injections since January last year. The hospital did not obtain a license to offer service. Previous media reports said people who received the vaccination were informed that the vial might be smuggled or fake, since such injections were only legally available at another hospital in Bo'ao.
