During my interviews in Egypt, one of the countries participating in the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, I experienced firsthand how people's lives were changing for the better.
My interviews were made possible through the assistance of Mohamed Nagy, marketing manager from the Egypt-TEDA SEZone (Suez Canal Economic Zone) Development Co. Nagy helped me arrange all the interviews within the zone, a multifunctional industrial park near the city of Suez.
Nagy himself told me that he was becoming more and more like his Chinese colleagues after years in the company.
